Want to learn how to enhance your fertility naturally, in the privacy of your own home, at your own pace? This course is for you! The course consists of three segments that you complete on your own time schedule, with a fertility educator (a certified Natural Family Planning instructor) as your guide and assistant. The course can be taken by couples who are currently trying to conceive or by those who want to try to improve their fertility to help with menstrual or other women's health difficulties, as well as by couples who have difficulty maintaining pregnancy.
Fertility Matters: a distance learning course
The course consists of several components: a course workbook, an online discussion and support group just for those who are taking or have taken the Fertility Matters course, and personal, private review of your charts by a fertility educator. Your fertility educator will help you develop an individual Fertility/Conception Plan as you work through the course.
The course workbook is divided into three modules. Module 1 covers basics of normal fertility. This is the module where you will learn or deepen your understanding of Fertility Awareness, a way you can become knowledgeable about your fertility to give you (and possibly also your health care provider) important information that can help you improve your health and/or increase your chances of conception.
Module 2 covers basics about infertility, so that you can understand typical causes of menstrual difficulties, infertility, or repeat miscarriages. This is the module where your fertility educator will begin to help you develop a plan for improving your fertility naturally. Information will be provided on how lifestyle choices and nutrition impact fertility and can help enhance fertility. You will also be given information about herbs that can help improve fertility, should you choose to investigate this mode of healing.
Module 3 is concerned with the emotional and spiritual impact of infertility, with important information that can help you grow in your relationships with your spouse and with God. Struggling with infertility can be a stressful time, personally and as a couple. The information and activities in this module can help you to draw closer to each other and to God during this difficult time.
Throughout the course, and beyond, your fertility educator will be available to answer your questions and listen to your concerns.
The course costs $50, including the course workbook, fertility counseling, access to the Fertility Matters support group, and your personal Fertility or Conception Plans. Supplies cost an additional $50; you will receive a materials list so you can purchase them on your own, if you wish. (You can get a materials discount if you already have some of the required materials.)
