The St. Croix Birth & Parenting Story
St. Croix Birth & Parenting was operated as a sole proprietorship beginning in 2006, but reorganized as a nonprofit Limited Liability Company by Christelle Hagen, in Minnesota in 2018. SCBP is a nonprofit alliance of fertility, birth and family professionals honoring life. Our mission is "accompanying families through the Joys and Sorrows of birth & parenting." We seek to help growing families build a strong foundation by promoting those parenting practices that foster deep, loving bonds.
St. Croix Birth & Parenting financially supports the work of Tiny Treasures Perinatal Loss Resources, a group of volunteers who help families experiencing perinatal challenges, including hospitalizations and infant loss. Tiny Treasures provides appropriately sized baby clothing to families facing or experiencing loss during pregnancy, at birth, and in early infancy. Your patronage of this nonprofit company allows us to support families before, during, and after the loss of their baby.

Christelle Hagen, BfNAEC, ICI, SBDChristelle is a Certified Breastfeeding Advocate, Educator & Counselor; a Certified Birth and Bereavement Doula; a Certified Labor & Postpartum Doula; and an Independent Certified Instructor of the Baby Signs (R) Program. Christelle is the President and Chair of the SCBP Board of Governors. Christelle lives with her husband, Chris, and their seven living children in Stillwater, MN. Christelle loves to knit, write, and create art in her spare time.

Lexy Backstrom, BfNALexy is a Certified Breastfeeding Advocate. Lexy is the Breastfeed {Naturally} Representative on the St. Croix Birth & Parenting LLC Board of Governors. She and her husband, Cole, live in Woodbury, MN, with their three children. Lexy is very active in the promotion and support of breastfeeding among Minnesota mothers when she is not modeling!

Deanna LoomisDeanna Loomis is the Tiny Treasures Perinatal Resources Representative on the St. Croix Birth & Parenting LLC Board of Governors. She and her husband, Chris, live in Centerville, MN, with their son. Deanna is a talented tatter and has a beautiful singing voice.
