Instructor: Christelle J. K. Hagen, BfNAEC, ICI, SBD. Christelle is a Certified Breastfeeding Advocate, Educator & Cousnselor, with special training in educating new mothers in the art of establishing successful breastfeeding. She has experience training new breastfeeding educators and counselors. She is an experienced breastfeeding mother, having nursed 7 children into early childhood. She has tandem nursed three times! She is currently nursing a toddler and has personally experienced the process of breastfeeding and pumping for a preemie baby, and two NICU babies, including a baby with a feeding tube and oral aversion who has successfully transitioned to fully oral feeding. Breastfeeding Matters Class

Prepare for breastfeeding success! This two hour online or in person class teaches the 7 "natural laws" of breastfeeding that give you the tools to establish breastfeeding successfully. You will learn: * how your birth impacts your nursing relationship, and how to get a good start, no matter what your birth is like * the 7 Natural Laws of Breastfeeding, based on the excellent breastfeeding guide, Breastfeeding Made Simple, by Nancy Mohrbacher, IBCLC, and Kathleen Kendall-Tackett, Ph.D., IBCLC (used by permission) * laid back breastfeeding and how to hold your baby to encourage her natural nursing behaviors * how to promote healthy, comfortable nursing and an abundant milk supply You are welcome to take the class as an individual or as a couple. If you are taking the class as part of a couple, register BOTH the male and the female participants to save both your spots! The price of the class is for the expectant mother.
